Nominations have now closed for the NSW Pharmacist of the Year, Intern Pharmacist of the Year, Early Career Pharmacist of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

The NSW Intern of the Year is judged on four criteria: leadership skills in pharmacy, commitment to patient care and medicines safety, initiative in pharmacy service delivery and professional engagement.

The PSA NSW Early Career Pharmacist of the Year Award is for those with less than 10 years’ experience as a practising pharmacist. The award is based on a significant achievement in an area of excellence within the year or a recent period.

The NSW Pharmacist of the Year Award is for pharmacists that have made a significant contribution to the pharmacy profession within any of PSA’s 11 Action Items for Change.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is for pharmacists who have practised for 25 or more consecutive years and who have demonstrated significant and enduring contribution to the pharmacy profession.

The Early Career Pharmacist, Pharmacist and Lifetime Achievement Awards must address one of the following key areas:

• Pharmacy Practice Research

• Pharmacy Practice Innovation

• Pharmacy as a Community Service Advancing Pharmacy Practice

Winners will be announced at the PSA NSW Awards night at the NSW Annual Therapeutic Update Conference on Saturday 12 March 2022 at Wharf 350 Restaurant, Rydges Newcastle, Wharf Rd & Merewether St, Newcastle NSW from 5.15 pm - 7.30 pm.
