IMPORTANT | Scam Email from "Global Travel Experts"
We have been informed that some abstract presenters for Pride and Progress 2027 have received a scam email from a company fraudulently impersonating a real travel company calling themselves Global Travel Experts. This occurred after the speaker information went onto the website and they have harvested information from there.
If you receive an email from gtravelexperts[dot]com, do not respond as this email address is a scam address.
Pride and Progress in Pharmacy has NOT engaged the services of any travel company or agency to arrange accommodation or provide other services. On the accommodation page we have listed hotels in Melbourne who have provided special rates for delegates, but these bookings are made directly with the hotel/apartment group and not the conference organisers or any third party. Delegates are welcome to arrange their accommodation as they wish but please be alert to potential scammers.
Scam Details:
These unsolicited emails have been sent to delegates of several conferences we have discovered, identifying themselves as the conference’s accommodation team, asking you to confirm my arrival and departure dates in Melbourne so they can reserve a hotel room and send me a booking link, tempting you as they say the booking is flexible and refundable up to 14 days before arrival. This is a scam. Do not respond, click any links, or provide personal details.

Pride and Progress in Pharmacy will never share participant email addresses with this or any other company and we do not publish participant email addresses online.
For your security, we recommend blocking the sender (ops@g-travelexperts[dot]com) and the domain (g-travelexperts[dot]com) and marking their emails as spam.
We strongly recommend that you book accommodation only through trusted sources, such as those offered on the official conference website or reputable hotel providers. There is a range of accommodation options available for registrants and their friends and family joining them. We are not managing accommodation as part of the conference registration but have arranged discounts with accommodation options less than 15 minutes’ walk to the venue or a short (free) tram ride. Also, the usual Air BNB and other accommodation sites can be helpful if you are looking at other areas in Melbourne or for specific features (e.g. a pool, by the beach, etc). Fortunately, Melbourne has a very extensive public transport system with all trains stopping at Flinders St Station, 200m from Zinc Conference Centre. Also, many tram lines run close by and connections from suburban bus routes are easy. Keep in mind this is peak tourist season so prices may be high and competition strong for accommodation – book early to ensure your preferred option!
