MEETING SAFELY IS OUR PRIORITY

  • Reading the health and safety procedure document provided on site at the registration desk
  • Ensuring all accidents and incidents that occur on site at the conference are reported
  • Informing the Event Managers, a member of the PSA Organising Committee or a staff member at the Conference Venue immediately of any health and safety concerns
  • Respecting your own personal safety and that of other conference delegates and employees.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS

Immunisation Workshop

PSA immunisation training is intended to provide registered pharmacists, who meet the pre-requisite requirements, with the knowledge and skills to establish and deliver a successful immunisation service, including administration of injections.

A practical immunisation workshop (Part 2) of the blended training program, will be held on Friday 19th March 2021 as a Pre-Conference Workshop at the QT Gold Coast.  The workshop can be booked along with your ATU conference registration, please note places are limited*. Palliative Care and Anticipatory Medicines: palliPHARM Workshop

The palliative phase of life is often a difficult time for patients, their families, loved ones, carers and treating health professionals. Ensuring that patients receive the best possible care is paramount, with pharmacists well placed to work collaboratively with GPs to ensure that appropriate evidence-based medicine management is provided, including anticipatory prescribing and optimal end-of-life (terminal) care.

This complimentary workshop is intended to equip all Queensland pharmacists with the knowledge required, to support palliative patients in the community, by ensuring an understanding of the palliative journey and an evidence-based approach for pharmacological management of symptoms.

This workshop has been accredited by PSA for two hours of Group 1 CPD (or 2 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan, which can be converted to two hours of Group 2 CPD (4 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities.
