The session will cover best practice management of acute minor wounds in preparation for expanded scope of pharmacist practice. The session will include discussion about appropriate types of wounds that can be managed, identification of red flags and when referral to a general practitioner is necessary. Pharmacists will gain insights into integrating these expanded responsibilities into their practice while maintaining patient safety.

- Identify the principles of managing acute minor wounds.
- Recognise when referral to a general practitioner is necessary to manage acute minor wounds.
- Discuss the expanded responsibilities of acute minor wound care management in pharmacy practice.
