Synopsis:

Endometriosis affects an estimated 1 in 7 Australian females, often causing chronic pain, fertility challenges, and diagnostic delays. This session will examine how pharmacists can support patients by identifying symptoms early, guiding pain and hormonal therapy management, and fostering treatment adherence. Practical strategies for patient education, stigma reduction, and multidisciplinary collaboration will also be discussed to improve care outcomes for this under-diagnosed condition.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify common symptoms and diagnostic challenges of endometriosis.

2. Describe pain and hormonal therapy options for management.

3. Discuss strategies for patient education and stigma reduction.
