Biography
Joanne is a Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) Pharmacist at the Department of Health Tasmania, an HMR-credentialed pharmacist and current PSA Tasmania Branch Vice President.
Joanne previously worked in Cardiology and Coronary Care Units at the Royal North Shore hospital in Sydney, and served on the SHPA Cardiology Specialty Practice Leadership Committee. Joanne has worked in Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance for Boehringer Ingelheim and their diabetes medicines, and has delivered several cardiovascular and kidney disease educational visiting programs to hundreds of health professionals as a previous NPS MedicineWise educational visitor.

Biography
Ayomide is an accomplished pharmacist, researcher, and educator dedicated to advancing pharmacy practice through digital innovation. She holds a PhD from Curtin Medical School, where her research focused on evaluating the technological needs of community pharmacists to enable contemporary, patient-centred healthcare. Alongside her academic achievements, Ayomide continues to serve as a community pharmacist and sessional academic, contributing to the Bachelor of Pharmacy program at Curtin University.
Recognised for her leadership and impact, Ayomide was named the national 2019 MIMs PSA Intern Pharmacist of the Year, the 2023 PSA WA Early Career Pharmacist of the Year, and received an Associate Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy. She is an active leader within the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA), appointed to the national PSA Board as the Early Career Pharmacist (ECP) Board Director in July 2023, chair of the PSA ECP Community of Special Interest, Vice President of the PSA WA Branch, and a member of the PSA Membership, Products & Services Committee.
With a passion for digital health transformation and a commitment to excellence, Ayomide continues to shape the future of pharmacy practice by bridging innovative research with real-world clinical solutions to elevate patient outcomes and professional standards.
