Biography

Atinuke (Tinu) Abraham is a Credentialed Pharmacist and Diabetes Educator with over 10 years’ experience at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service. She is passionate about health equity, diversity, and the delivery of culturally safe care. Originally from Nigeria, Ms Abraham studied at the University of Auckland and has worked across New Zealand and Australia in a range of practice settings, including hospitals, community pharmacies, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), and academia. Passionate about supporting others to be the best pharmacists they can be, Ms Abraham currently serves on the Board of the Pharmacists Support Service (PSS) and as part of PSA’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Pharmacy Practice Community of Specialty Interest leadership group.

Biography

Jaimee Anderson is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator and Pharmacist who has been working for Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service in Katherine, NT, since 2018. She has worked across Victoria and the NT in rural and remote healthcare as a pharmacist since 2006, before becoming a CDE in 2020. Through her work in the ACCHO sector both as a pharmacist and a CDE, Jaimee has developed a passion for working through the many health and social challenges facing First Nations peoples, with a strong focus on increasing awareness and improving outcomes.

Biography

Dr Manya Angley is an Advanced Practice Pharmacist who began her career in academia. She continues to undertake research in medicines safety at care transitions and has a particular interest in improving health outcomes for people with neurodevelopmental disorders. In 2010, she established a consulting business, Manya Angley Research and Consulting (MARAC). She has been a general practice pharmacist at East Adelaide Health Care since 2012. Manya is also a contractor delivering Quality Use of Medicines Services and Residential Medication Management Reviews in aged care in Adelaide. She provided a testimonial at the Disability Royal Commission in September 2020 highlighting the potential benefits of credentialed pharmacists in interdisciplinary teams for people with disability. Manya was the proud recipient of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (SA/NT Branch) Pharmacist of the Year (2021) and the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy MIMS Consultant Pharmacist of the Year (2021). Manya registered as Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBSP) in 2023 which is an opportunity to integrate her professional and lived experiences as a carer of family members with neurodevelopmental disability. Her current focus is aging in intellectual disability.

Biography

Anna Barwick is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health at the University of New England, Armidale NSW. Anna is currently working on her PhD in telepharmacy at the University of Queensland, holds a Master of Clinical Pharmacy, is a practising consultant pharmacist, researcher, diabetes educator, and immuniser. Anna founded PharmOnline, an online advisory video telehealth service, to connect people with experienced pharmacists to discuss their medication. Anna was announced as the 2022 NSW Premier's Woman of the Year and the 2022 NSW Mineral's Council Regional Woman of the Year for her health and wellbeing innovation.

She is a past Director/National Councilor of the Pharmacy Guild.

Biography

Joanne is a Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) Pharmacist at the Department of Health Tasmania, an HMR-credentialed pharmacist and current PSA Tasmania Branch Vice President. Joanne previously worked in Cardiology and Coronary Care Units at the Royal North Shore hospital in Sydney, and served on the SHPA Cardiology Specialty Practice Leadership Committee. Joanne has worked in Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance for Boehringer Ingelheim and their diabetes medicines, and has delivered several cardiovascular and kidney disease educational visiting programs to hundreds of health professionals as a previous NPS MedicineWise educational visitor.

Biography

Bente Hart is a highly experienced pharmacist currently serving as a Learning Facilitator for the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia since July 2022, in addition to being a member of the Southern NSW Clinical Council since February 2023. With a career spanning over two decades as a Clinical Pharmacist at Southern NSW Local Health District, Bente Hart has focused on clinical services, case management, and education regarding medication usage, particularly in aged care. Previous roles include partnerships at Capital Chemist Group and Braidwood Pharmacy, where Bente Hart contributed to service improvements and clinical pharmacy development. Education includes advanced certifications in medication management and mental health first aid, along with a Master's Degree in Pharmacy from the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy.

Deborah Hawthorne is a consultant pharmacist, recently elected as the chair of Pharmaceutical Society of Australia’s Consultant Pharmacist Community of Special Interest. She brings a wealth of knowledge from a varied career portfolio includes working as a pharmacist in GP clinics, Credentialed Diabetes Educator at Northeast Wangaratta Hospital, Home Medicines Reviews, Residential Medication Management Reviews, Chemical Restraint Consultations, Telehealth Medication Reviews, clinical education and research as an adjunct senior lecturer at the University of Western Australia.  She is also a current Victorian branch committee member of PSA and a board member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Victoria (PSV). She has also been awarded PSA Consultant Pharmacist of the year 2023 and PSA Early Career Pharmacist of the year 2022.

Biography

Ayomide is an accomplished pharmacist, researcher, and educator dedicated to advancing pharmacy practice through digital innovation. She holds a PhD from Curtin Medical School, where her research focused on evaluating the technological needs of community pharmacists to enable contemporary, patient-centred healthcare. Alongside her academic achievements, Ayomide continues to serve as a community pharmacist and sessional academic, contributing to the Bachelor of Pharmacy program at Curtin University. Recognised for her leadership and impact, Ayomide was named the national 2019 MIMs PSA Intern Pharmacist of the Year, the 2023 PSA WA Early Career Pharmacist of the Year, and received an Associate Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy. She is an active leader within the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA), appointed to the national PSA Board as the Early Career Pharmacist (ECP) Board Director in July 2023, chair of the PSA ECP Community of Special Interest, Vice President of the PSA WA Branch, and a member of the PSA Membership, Products & Services Committee. With a passion for digital health transformation and a commitment to excellence, Ayomide continues to shape the future of pharmacy practice by bridging innovative research with real-world clinical solutions to elevate patient outcomes and professional standards.

Brooke Shelly is a rural Victorian pharmacist with a dynamic portfolio career spanning general practice, consultant pharmacy, and multidisciplinary telehealth. In 2024, she was named the PSA Consultant Pharmacist of the Year and awarded Fellowship of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. Brooke is a Director on the PSA National Board and serves on the National Policy and Advocacy Committee. She is a passionate and vocal advocate on the national stage for rural health equity, workforce development, and expanding the role of pharmacists in multidisciplinary teams.

Amy Speck

Biography

Amy is a passionate pharmacist with a strong commitment to advancing healthcare access in rural and remote communities. After completing her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) at UQ, she began her career in Brisbane before relocating to the Darling Downs, where she managed a community pharmacy throughout COVID. Since 2022, Amy has been working as a locum pharmacist, travelling extensively across Queensland—including to Thursday Island, Norfolk Island, Goondiwindi, Mackay Region, Emerald, and the Western Downs. With a special interest in rural health, she believes deeply in the impact pharmacists can have in smaller communities. In 2024, she completed The Graduate Certificate in Advanced Practice and Prescribing for Pharmacists through JCU/QUT, further strengthening her clinical capacity. Supporting the roll out of prescribing services throughout Queensland, Amy has witnessed the significant difference pharmacist prescribers can make in ensuring timely, accessible treatment of acute conditions—especially where GP access is limited.

Raymond Truong is an early career pharmacist practicing as a credentialed pharmacist. His has a background in community pharmacy practice with interests includes the implementation of services such as: Immunisations, Medicines by injection (B12), MS-2 step and take-home naloxone. He is also an accredited consultant pharmacist and established Pill Box Education in delivering home medication review and embedded as an Aged Care Onsite Pharmacist. Raymond was the proud recipient of the PSA SA Early Career Pharmacist of the Year (2024), Chemist Warehouse SA Intern of the year (2020), PSA SA gold medal (2019) and SA/NT Branch student research award (2019).
