Details

Following popular demand at the NSW and VIC/TAS ATU, this workshop will explore strategies to enhance overall vaccination rates, specifically focusing on HPV, pertussis, RSV, shingles, and pneumococcal diseases. Participants will apply knowledge presented during the PSA25 vaccination stream, as well as recommendations found in the Australian Immunisation Handbook and ATAGI advice, to detailed case examples. Delegates will be seated grouped by jurisdiction, with case-based learning specific to vaccination in each state and territory (TAS/NT/SA delegates will have cases common across three jurisdictions). The perfect Sunday session to consolidate your learning across the conference and leave motivated to do more to protect your patients from vaccine-preventable diseases! Learning objectives - opportunistically recommend routine and recommended vaccination to patients, including for HPV, pertussis, RSV, shingles, and pneumococcal vaccines - apply communication strategies to reduce vaccine hesitancy. Competency standards (2016): 1.6, 2.3, 2.4, 3.1, 3.6
