The landscape of pharmacy continues to evolve rapidly. As we witness developments in scope of practice, primary care reforms, sustainability, and the rise of new roles, it’s easy to feel unnerved. But equally, while change can be confronting, it also comes with huge opportunity - the opportunity to lead, to innovate, and create the future of pharmacist care that you want to see.
In the opening plenary, you will hear directly from your PSA leaders who are fighting to make this future a reality. You will be inspired by the winners of the PSA Symbion Excellence Awards, including pharmacist of the year, early career pharmacist of the year and lifetime achievement award. And you will be witness to Australian health leaders, changemakers and pioneers sharing their reality of now, and their visions for the future.

Biography
Brett has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare Division of EBOS Group in April 2018. The division includes Pharmacy, Institutional Healthcare and Contract Logistics services across both Australia and New Zealand.
Brett’s career in the healthcare sector began in the pharmacy division in 2002 and has included executive positions across business development, finance, supply chain and strategy.
Brett is the Deputy Chairman of the NPSA and has been involved in each community pharmacy agreement negotiation since the 5CPA.

Biography
Emma McBride is Federal Member for Dobell on the New South Wales Central Coast. Since 2022 she has been the Assistant Minister for Rural and Regional Health and Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in the Albanese Government.
Emma is a registered pharmacist who has worked in the health sector for over 20 years, both in Australia and abroad. She was a Specialist Mental Health Pharmacist and the Chief Pharmacist at Wyong Hospital for nearly 10 years and, prior to entering Parliament, she was the Deputy Director of Pharmacy for Central Coast Local Health District. Emma’s background and experience as a healthcare professional led her to Parliament, where she fights for better health services for all Australians.
She is a passionate advocate for quality affordable healthcare, close to home. She understands the unique challenges facing rural and regional communities when it comes to accessing healthcare and she hopes to play a role in shaping public policy that promotes the health and wellbeing of every Australian, regardless of where they live.
Melissa Doyle

Biography
An accomplished and awarded journalist with more than 30 years experience, Melissa is one of the best-known and trusted voices and faces in Australian media. A graduate of Charles Sturt University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Melissa began her career in Canberra as a television news reporter and weather presenter at WIN TV before moving to Prime TV as a reporter and co-host of the evening news.
During her career Melissa covered such significant events as the Beaconsfield mine disaster, the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, Olympic Games in Sydney, Athens, Beijing and London, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Queensland floods, Victoria’s Black Saturday bushfires, multiple federal and state elections, the Inauguration of Barack Obama and the election of Pope Francis, and interviewed stars such as Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber, Robin Williams, Jane Fonda and Katy Perry.
More recently, in 2021 Melissa secured the world exclusive interview with Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert. Melissa was also the proud holder of the Big Red Book. As host of 'This Is Your Life' she took a deep dive into the lives, loves and legacies of some of our favourite Aussies. Melissa has written four books, “The Working Mothers Survival Guide” in 2007, her best selling memoir “Alphabet Soup” in 2013, "15 Seconds of Brave" in 2022 and "How to Age Against The Machine" in 2023. In the 2016 Australia Day Honours List Melissa was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her "significant service to the community through representational roles with a range of charitable groups, and to the broadcast media." She is National Patron for the Make A Wish Foundation and an Ambassador for World Vision, The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Adopt Change.
