Some pharmacy challenges don’t come with an easy answer. Pharmacists often navigate situations where clinical evidence, ethics and patient expectations don’t neatly align.
This session explores how pharmacists can approach these grey areas with confidence and clarity. In PSA26, we introduce a live panel featuring our four pharmacist influencers, who will discuss the growing impact of social media on consumer behaviour, health misinformation, and the evolving expectations placed on pharmacists.
The panel will share how pharmacists can use social platforms responsibly to educate the public while upholding the PSA Code of Ethics, maintaining professional boundaries, and promoting evidence‑based care.
Learning objectives:
- Identify ethical and professional challenges in digital contexts.
- Discuss professional judgement and decision-making approaches in ethically complex situations.
- Recognise how social media and influencer activity shape public expectations and professional obligations under the PSA Code of Ethics.
