Pharmacy practice has evolved — and so has the Code of Ethics. With new responsibilities, expanded scope, and more complex patient care, pharmacists are facing situations that call for sound judgement, not black-and-white answers.
This session unpacks what’s changed in the updated Code of Ethics and what it means for everyday practice. Through real examples and lively discussion, pharmacists will explore how the Code supports confident decision-making, professional integrity and consistent care in a rapidly changing profession.
Learning objectives:
- Identify key updates to the Code of Ethics and their relevance to contemporary pharmacy practice.
- Discuss how the Code guides professional judgement and decision-making in complex or evolving practice areas.
Competency standards (2016): 1.2, 1.3
