These are the questions on the lips of pharmacists, regulators, educators and funders as the health needs of the Australian population continue to balloon with an ageing population with increasingly complex health needs.
Scope of practice growth is part of the answer, but adding more and more tasks without taking others away will be a recipe for burnout. So what are the solutions? And what does path forward for pharmacists look like?
This session will examine the future of pharmacist practice in Australia through the lens of government, pharmacy leaders and researchers at University of Queensland who have been recently commissioned to answer this question in the National Pharmacy Workforce Analysis Project.
