Sexual health is an important part of overall wellbeing, yet it is often surrounded by discomfort and stigma. Pharmacists are in a unique position to create safe, respectful and inclusive spaces where people can seek information and support.
This session explores how pharmacists can approach conversations about contraception, sexual wellbeing and reproductive health with confidence and professionalism. It will highlight practical communication strategies to support sensitive discussions, respect privacy, and provide person-centred care that empowers patients to make informed decisions about their health.

- Identify communication techniques for discussing sexual health confidently
- Discuss ways to support privacy and comfort in sensitive consultations
- Recognise the pharmacist’s role in promoting sexual wellbeing.

Biography
Dr Jack Collins MPS is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney School of Pharmacy. Jack also practices in community pharmacy in Sydney and is a member of the PSA NSW Branch Committee. Jack's broad research interests include self-care, sexual and reproductive health, and mental health. Jack was honoured as the PSA NSW Early Career Pharmacist of the Year in 2023.
