This session explores how these innovations are changing the way patients monitor and manage their condition, and the practical role pharmacists play in supporting safe and effective use.
This session will discuss how pharmacists can interpret CGM data, assist with device troubleshooting, and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimise patient outcomes. Participants will gain confidence in discussing modern diabetes technology and recognising when referral or follow-up is required.

Biography
Susan Clift is a Clinical Pharmacist with over 15 years of experience across community and hospital pharmacy. A credentialed pharmacist, she has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education, allowing her to provide informed, patient-centred support for people living with diabetes. Susan’s practice is grounded in a commitment to medicines safety, collaborative care, and improving health outcomes within the community. Alongside her clinical work, she is a sessional academic at the University of Newcastle, where she contributes to teaching and mentoring future pharmacists. Susan is dedicated to ongoing professional development and advancing the quality of pharmacy practice.
